To provide a movable body that can pick up images of lateral sides, and display images with high resolution and low distortion as electronic side view mirrors.SOLUTION: A movable body has a camera unit that has an optical system forming an optical image having a high resolution area and a low resolution area on a light receiving surface of imaging means, and is installed on a lateral side of the movable body. A formula 2 to a formula 4 are satisfied, where the vertical angle of view and the horizontal angle of view of the high resolution area are defined as θv and θh, respectively; the vertical direction angle and the horizontal direction angle of an optical axis of the optical system are defined as φv and φh, respectively; the offset between the camera unit and a viewpoint position of a driver in a major axis direction of the movable body is defined as x1; the offset of the camera unit in a minor axis direction of the movable body from a side face of the movable body is defined as z; the offset in a height direction of the camera unit from the ground is defined as h1; the distances of the driver in the major axis direction from the viewpoint position are defined as d1, d2; and predetermined widths on the ground at the distances d1, d2 are defined as w1, w2, .SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
