To provide a vehicle body side part structure that can reduce loads that are inputted to a battery pack at the time of side collision of an electric vehicle or the like.SOLUTION: A vehicle body side part structure 1 according to the present invention comprises a side sill 3 constituted of a side sill inner 3a and a side sill outer 3b which are jointed, a battery pack 5 arranged closer to inside of a vehicle in a vehicle width direction than the side sill 3, and a floor cross member 7 extended in the vehicle width direction. The floor cross member 7 is constituted of a metal plate whose tensile strength is 1180 MPa or more and is arranged so that an end part 7a thereof hovers over an upper surface 3a2 without contacting a side surface 3a1 of the side sill inner 3a and is extended to a joint surface part 3d at an upper end part 3c of the side sill inner 3a and of the side sill outer 3b to contact the joint surface part. At the time of side collision of a vehicle, after the side sill outer 3b is deformed and ruptured, loads inputted to the side sill 3 are transmitted to the floor cross member 7, so as to reduce loads that are transmitted to the battery pack 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】電気自動車等の側面衝突時にバッテリーパックに入力する荷重を低減する車体側部構造を提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係る車体側部構造1は、サイドシルインナ3aとサイドシルアウタ3bとが接合されてなるサイドシル3と、サイドシル3よりも車幅方向車内側に配設されたバッテリーパック5と、車幅方向に延設されたフロアクロスメンバ7と、を備えたものであって、フロアクロスメンバ7は、引張強度が1180MPa級以上の金属板からなり、端部7aがサイドシルインナ3aの側面3a1とは当接せず上面3a2に覆いかぶさるように配設されるとともにサイドシルインナ3aとサイドシルアウタ3bの上端部3cにおける接合面部3dにまで延出して当接し、側面衝突時において、サイドシルアウタ3bが変形して潰れた後は、サイドシル3に入力した荷重をフロアクロスメンバ7に伝達させるようにしてバッテリーパック5に伝達する荷重を低減させる。【選択図】 図1
