To provide a vehicle body side part structure that can reduce loads that are inputted to a battery pack at the time of side collision of an electric vehicle or the like.SOLUTION: A vehicle body side part structure 1 according to the present invention comprises a side sill 3 extending in a vehicle length direction and a battery pack 5 arranged closer to inside of a vehicle in a vehicle width direction than the side sill 3. A collision energy absorbing member 11, which is constituted of a steel plate whose tensile strength is 270 MPa or more and 340 MPa or less and whose plate thicknesses are 1.0 mm or more and 1.4 mm or less, is formed, at an outer periphery side in the vehicle width direction of the battery pack 5, in a convex shape protruding toward outside in the vehicle width direction. At the time of side collision when collision loads are inputted to the side sill 3 from the outside in the vehicle width direction, the side sill 3 deformed by the inputted collision loads contacts the collision energy absorbing member 11 and then the collision energy absorbing member 11 deforms to absorb the collision energy, so as to reduce loads that are transmitted to the battery pack 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】電気自動車等の側面衝突時にバッテリーパックに入力する荷重を低減する車体側部構造を提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係る車体側部構造1は、車長方向に延在するサイドシル3と、サイドシル3よりも車幅方向車内側に配設されたバッテリーパック5と、を備えたものであって、バッテリーパック5の車幅方向外周側に、車幅方向車外側に向かって凸形状に設けられ、引張強度が270MPa級以上340MPa級以下、板厚が1.0mm以上1.4mm以下の鋼板からなる衝突エネルギー吸収部材11を有し、車幅方向車外側からサイドシル3に衝突荷重が入力する側面衝突時において、入力した衝突荷重により変形したサイドシル3が衝突エネルギー吸収部材11に接触した後、衝突エネルギー吸収部材11が変形して衝突エネルギーを吸収してバッテリーパック5に伝達する荷重を低減させるようにしたものである。【選択図】 図1
