To provide a vehicle body side part structure that can reduce loads that are inputted to a battery pack at the time of side collision of an electric vehicle or the like.SOLUTION: A vehicle body side part structure 1 according to the present invention comprises a collision energy absorbing member 11 formed, at an outer periphery side in a vehicle width direction of a battery pack 5, in a convex shape protruding toward outside in the vehicle width direction, and a concave shape part 13 formed in a concave shape in a side sill 3 to secure a space between the collision energy absorbing member 11 and the side sill 3. When collision loads are inputted to a side of the side sill 3, a timing when the side sill 3 contacts the collision energy absorbing member 11 is delayed, the collision loads inputted to the side sill 3 are transmitted to a floor cross member 7 until the side sill 3 contacts the collision energy absorbing member 11, and the collision energy absorbing member 11 is made to absorb collision energy after the side sill 3 contacts the collision energy absorbing member 11, so as to reduce the loads that are transmitted to the battery pack 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】電気自動車等の側面衝突時にバッテリーパックに入力する荷重を低減する車体側部構造を提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係る車体側部構造1は、バッテリーパック5の車幅方向外周側に車幅方向車外側に向かって凸形状に設けられた衝突エネルギー吸収部材11と、衝突エネルギー吸収部材11とサイドシル3との間に空間を確保するようにサイドシル3に凹形状に形成された凹形状部13と、を備え、サイドシル3の側面に衝突荷重が入力した際に、サイドシル3と衝突エネルギー吸収部材11とが接触するタイミングを遅らせて、サイドシル3が衝突エネルギー吸収部材11に接触するまではサイドシル3に入力した衝突荷重をフロアクロスメンバー7に伝達させ、サイドシル3と衝突エネルギー吸収部材11とが接触した後は衝突エネルギー吸収部材11に衝突エネルギーを吸収させることにより、バッテリーパック5に伝達する荷重を低減させるものである。【選択図】 図1
