To provide a walking type work machine that facilitates handling in turning and simplifies an operation.SOLUTION: A walking type work machine includes: an engine 11 comprising an electronically controlled fuel injection device FI; a control device CU for controlling the electronically controlled fuel injection device FI; a manipulation tool X operated from a first state to a second state in turning; and an operated device Y in response to the fact that the manipulation tool X has received an operation. The control device CU controls the electronically controlled fuel injection device FI so that the number of revolutions of the engine 11 is decreased in response to the fact that the manipulation tool X has received the operation to the second state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
