To provide an electric suspension apparatus capable of responding appropriately to a vibration or the like that is applied to the vehicle.SOLUTION: An electric suspension apparatus 11 includes: a return prevention circuit 190 which is configured to operate in one of operation modes including a return prevention mode of preventing a current from flowing from power storage 172 toward a power supply 180 and a return allowance mode of allowing a current to flow from the power storage 172 toward the power supply 180; and a discharge controller 124 which is configured to determine whether or not an electric motor 31 is in regenerative operation, and in response to determining that the electric motor is in regenerative operation, set the operation mode of the return prevention circuit 190 to the return prevention mode, or otherwise in response to determining that the electric motor is not in regenerative operation, set the operation mode of the return prevention circuit 190 to the return allowance mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
