To provide a switch device capable of enhancing the space efficiency and assembly performance of a switch and a lighting device, etc. while maintaining the respective functions of the switch and the lighting device, etc., and provide a charging port unit having the switch device.SOLUTION: A switch device includes an operation knob 30 which has a cylindrical peripheral wall portion 32 penetrating through a mount hole 25 of a panel 20, and an operating portion 31 for blocking an outer end portion of the panel 20 in the peripheral wall portion 32, and is movable back and forth between an advanced position and a retreated position, a part of the peripheral wall portion 32 on the operating portion 31 side being exposed from the mount hole 25 to the outside at least at the retreated position, a holder 40 for holding the operation knob 30 so that the operation knob is movable forward and backward, a switch unit which is arranged in the holder 40 so as to face the operating portion 31 and is operated by the operation knob 30 advanced from the retreated position to the advanced position, and a lighting unit 33a which is provided at a portion of the peripheral wall portion 32 that is exposed from the mount hole 25 when located at the retreated position, and emits light from a first light source in a direction intersecting an advancing and retreating direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7A
