To provide: an inspection device configured to inspect a non-contact power supply facility and excellent in workability and safety; and an inspection method using an inspection device.SOLUTION: An inspection device 70 includes a cover 73 formed to cover an inspection coil 71 and a core 72 that are disposed between a first feeder line 1 and a second feeder line 2. The cover 73 includes a coil cover portion 74 covering the inspection coil 71 and protrusions 75 formed to protrude at least on both sides in a specified radial direction X with respect to the coil cover portion 74. A dimension D1 of the coil cover portion 74 in the specified radial direction X is smaller than a designed gap G between the first feeder line 1 and the second feeder line 2.
