To restrain backlash of an upper rail in a vehicle longitudinal direction at lock.SOLUTION: A seat slide device 101 comprises a lower rail 103, an upper rail 105, a lever member 131, a lock member 117, an urging member 132 and an operation member 133. The upper rail 105 includes a shaft member 115 which is disposed so as to stride over left and right both side walls. The lever member 131 includes bearing parts which are provided on a pair of left and right side walls 147, respectively and engage to the shaft member 115. A pair of respective left and right bearing parts each include a surface which is in contact with the shaft member 115 at one point in a vertical direction by urging due to the urging member 132. The surface which is in contact with the shaft member 115 in one bearing part of the pair of left and right bearing parts is formed as a circular arc surface which includes a slightly larger radius than the outer diameter of the shaft member 115. The surface which is in contact with the shaft member 115 in the other bearing part is formed as a plane surface which extends in a longer direction of the upper rail 105.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
