To accurately calculate a voltage drop due to polarization associated with discharge of a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A battery pack 2 includes: a voltage sensor 221 that detects a CCV of a battery 21; a current sensor 222 that detects a discharge current from the battery 21; a temperature sensor 223 that detects a temperature of the battery 21; and a battery ECU 24 that calculates a polarization overvoltage accompanying the discharge of the battery 21 based on detection results of the voltage sensor 221, the current sensor 222, and the temperature sensor 223. The battery ECU 24 subtracts the amount of voltage drop caused by a DC resistance and a reaction resistance of the battery 21 determined according to the temperature and an SOC of the battery 21 from a voltage difference between an OCV of the battery 21 and the CCV detected by the voltage sensor 221 to calculate the polarization overvoltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
