To solve the problem in which: there is currently a technique of blending low-grade carbon black for reducing the heat build-up of rubber, but it is difficult to secure sufficient hardness, low heat build-up, elongation at break, and wear resistance in a balanced manner.SOLUTION: The present invention discloses a rubber composition that includes rubber, filler, a sulfur-containing silane coupling agent, and a vulcanization accelerator, the rubber including 30-60 pts.mass of NR and 40-70 pts.mass of BR, the filler including carbon black and silica, the CTAB specific surface areas of the carbon black and the silica being 60-160 m2/g and 60-100 m2/g, respectively, the filler content being 55-75 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass of rubber, the amount of blended silica relative to the filler (silica ratio) being 10 mass% or greater, and the amount of blended vulcanization accelerator being 2.5-8 mass% relative to the silica.SELECTED DRAWING: None
