To surely guarantee a guaranteed output as a battery output in the time of the battery low temperature, and reduce a frequency of start and stop of an internal combustion engine in the time of the normal temperature in a hybrid vehicle.SOLUTION: There is provided a hybrid vehicle in which EV travel, power generation by an internal combustion engine and the like are controlled such that the SOC of a battery is kept between the SOC upper limit target value SOCH and the SOC lower limit target value SOCL. The SOC upper limit target value SOCH is a constant value with respect to the battery temperature but the SOC lower limit target value SOCL becomes a higher value as the temperature becomes lower. Therefore, a corresponding battery output PL is equal to or greater than a guaranteed output Plim in the time of the battery low temperature. The SOC control range ΔSOC between the SOC upper limit target value SOCH and the SOC lower limit target value SOCL becomes wider as the battery temperature becomes higher.     【課題】ハイブリッド車両において、バッテリ低温時にバッテリ出力として保証出力を確実に担保するとともに、常温時に内燃機関の始動・停止の頻度を少なくする。【解決手段】ハイブリッド車両は、バッテリのSOCがSOC上限目標値SOCHとSOC下限目標値SOCLとの間に保たれるように、EV走行や内燃機関による発電等が制御される。バッテリ温度に対してSOC上限目標値SOCHは一定値であるのに対し、SOC下限目標値SOCLは、低温ほど高い値となる。そのため、これに対応するバッテリ出力PLは、バッテリ低温時にも保証出力Plim以上となる。SOC上限目標値SOCHとSOC下限目標値SOCLとの間のSOC制御範囲ΔSOCは、バッテリ温度が高いほど広くなる。そのため、内燃機関の始動・停止の頻度が減少する。【選択図】図2
