To provide a movable battery charger in which the risk that uplift of a movable portion obstructs traffic of a pedestrian, is reduced.SOLUTION: A battery charger comprises: a movable portion 11 having a battery-charging connector 111 that transmits power to a vehicle 9; a raising/lowering unit 12 that raises and lowers the movable portion 11 between a state in which the movable portion 11 is housed underground and a state in which the movable portion 11 is exposed above the ground; a notification device having a light emitting unit 13 or a loudspeaker 14; and a controller 15 that raises the movable portion 11 at the rise start time, starts the output of the notification device before the rise start time, and then changes the output of the notification device according to the approach of the rise start time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
