To provide a sill gap closing device of an elevator capable of easily, quickly, and accurately performing positioning of a closing body with respect to a sill of a landing, and an elevator.SOLUTION: A sill gap closing device 4 includes a closing body 40 provided to be movable between an advance position advancing toward a sill 27 of a landing from a sill side of a car and a retreat position retreating to the sill side of the car so as to close a sill gap generated between the sill of the car and the sill 27 of the landing at the advance position, and a positioning mechanism 49, which is mounted on the closing body 40 such that a tip part 490 projects with a predetermined projection amount from a tip of the closing body 40 and regulates the advance position of the closing body 40 by abutment of the tip part 490 on the sill 27 of the landing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
