To provide a technique which can accurately measure a separation between an overhead transmission line and a ground surface shape while reflecting deviation generated on the ground surface shape and reduce time, cost or the like needed for measurement in this case.SOLUTION: A power line monitoring system comprises: an initial value data acquisition part 12 which acquires three-dimensional data measured about a ground surface shape 5 of an arrangement region of an overhead transmission line 2 using a flight vehicle as initial value data; a displacement magnitude data acquisition part 12 which acquires and analyzes observation data periodically transmitted from a satellite 31 about the ground surface shape 5 and extracts temporal displacement magnitude of the ground surface shape 5 to make it displacement magnitude data; an installation information holding part 13 which holds installation information of the overhead transmission line 2; and a separation detection processing part 15 which calculates a separation between the overhead transmission line 2 and the ground surface shape 5 using the initial value data, the displacement magnitude data and the installation information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
