To provide a bumper beam which has a bent part reinforced by joining a fiber-reinforced resin and has a hollow cylindrical shape.SOLUTION: A bumper beam 1 includes a reinforcement part 3 formed of a fiber-reinforced resin on the surface of a metal member 2, wherein the metal member has such a shape that a hollow cylindrical shape having a cabin side side wall 21 and a collision surface side side wall 22 extending in a vehicle width direction, and an upper wall 23 connecting upper ends of the side walls and a lower wall 24 connecting lower ends thereof, is bent in a bent part B convex to the collision surface side, the reinforcement part has a bent joint part 31 and a plate-like part 32, the bent joint part covers at least a part of the bent part of the upper wall and the lower wall, the whole bent part of the cabin side side wall and is joined to the metal member, the plate-like part is erected on the bent joint part, extends in the vehicle width direction between crash box mounting parts, the bent joint part and the plate-like part are integrated with each other, and accordingly the whole unevenness can be embedded with the fiber-reinforced resin and joined even when unevenness of molding wrinkles is generated in the bent part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】繊維強化樹脂を接合して補強された屈曲部を有する中空筒形のバンパービームを提供する。【解決手段】バンパービーム1は、金属部材2の表面に繊維強化樹脂で形成された補強部3を備え、上記金属部材は、車幅方向に延びる車室側側壁21及び衝突面側側壁22、並びにこれら側壁の上端同士を繋ぐ上壁23及び下端同士を繋ぐ下壁24を有する中空筒形が、衝突面側に凸の屈曲部Bで屈曲した形状であり、上記補強部が、屈曲接合部31と板状部32とを有し、上記屈曲接合部が、上記上壁及び上記下壁の上記屈曲部の少なくとも一部、並びに車室側側壁の上記屈曲部全体を覆って上記金属部材と接合しており、上記板状部が、上記屈曲接合部に立設し、クラッシュボックス取り付け部間で車幅方向に延び、上記屈曲接合部と上記板状部とが一体化しているため、屈曲部に成形しわの凹凸があっても、凹凸全体を繊維強化樹脂で埋めて接合することができる。【選択図】図1
