To identify an occurrence portion of an electric leakage between a circuit to be mounted to a vehicle and a vehicle frame.SOLUTION: An insulation resistance monitoring system comprises, for monitoring positive-side insulation resistance and negative-side insulation resistance provided respectively between a positive-side terminal of a power source circuit to be mounted to a vehicle frame and a vehicle and a negative-side terminal thereof,: a control unit; a pulse generator; detection resistance that is provided between the pulse generator and a measurement node; a capacitor that is provided between the measurement node and the frame; and a contactor that is provided between the positive-side terminal of the power source circuit and the negative-side terminal thereof. The control unit is configured to determine whether an electric leakage occurs between the power source circuit and the frame on the basis of a voltage of the measurement node when the pulse generator generates a pulse. When the electric leakage occurs, the control unit is configured to determine any of which a resistance value of the positive-side insulation resistance or the negative-side insulation resistance drops on the basis of a voltage waveform appearing in the measurement node after the contactor changes from an off-state to an on-state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
