To reduce tensile stress generated in a member of a roof side rail when a columnar obstacle collides with the roof side rail.SOLUTION: A roof side rail 14 includes a rail outer member 22 and a rail inner member 24 which are joined with each other to form a closed cross sectional structure. The rail inner member 24 and the rail outer member 22 have flange parts 32 and 34 extending toward the inside in the vehicle width direction from a portion of the closed cross sectional structure to be joined to each other together with a roof panel 18. In the rail outer member 22, an end edge part has an upper surface part 26 facing an upper side in which the flange part 32 is present. The upper surface part 26 includes an inside portion 26a including the flange part 32 and an outside portion 26b positioned outside in the vehicle width direction from the inside portion 26a. The inside portion 26a is inclined at an angle α with respect to a horizontal surface H such that the inside in the vehicle width direction becomes higher. The outside portion 26b is inclined at an angle β with respect to the horizontal surface H such that the outside in the vehicle width direction becomes higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
