To provide a wheel position detecting device that is able to detect a wheel position in a shorter time without requiring trigger machines the number of which corresponds to the number of wheels.SOLUTION: In an on-vehicle device 3, a turning direction of a vehicle 1 is determined, and based on the turning direction and a positive/negative sign of a detection result of a G sensor of each tire sensor 2, a wheel on which each tire sensor 2 is mounted is identified as either a right wheel 5a, 5c or a left wheel 5b, 5d. In addition, the absolute values of the detection results are compared for magnitude, so that the wheel on which each tire sensor 2 is mounted is identified as either a right front wheel 5a or right rear wheel 5c of the right wheels 5a, 5c, and is identified as either a left front wheel 5b or left rear wheel 5d of the left wheels 5b, 5d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】車輪数に対応した数のトリガ機を必要とせず、かつ、より短時間で車輪位置検出を行うことができる車輪位置検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】車載機3において、車両1の旋回方向を判定し、該旋回方向と各タイヤセンサ2のGセンサの検出結果の正負の符号に基づいて、各タイヤセンサ2が取付けられた車輪が右車輪5a、5cと左車輪5b、5dのいずれであるかを特定する。また、その検出結果の絶対値を大小比較することで、各タイヤセンサ2が取付けられた車輪が右車輪5a、5cのうちの右前輪5aと右後輪5cのいずれであるかを特定すると共に左車輪5b、5dのうちの左前輪5bと左後輪5dのいずれであるかを特定する。【選択図】図1
