To provide a crane travel assistance device capable of appropriately braking traveling of a crane corresponding to a change of a crane advancing direction.SOLUTION: This crane travel assistance device comprises: a plurality of distance detection units 50 that detect a distance between a crane 1 and an object G ahead in an advancing direction; an advancing direction determination unit 61 that determines the advancing direction of the crane 1; a use determination unit 62 that determines use of detection information of at least one of the distance detection units 50 on the basis of the determination of the advancing direction determination unit 61; and a braking control unit 63 that brakes traveling of the crane 1 on the basis of the detection information of the distance detection unit 50 determined by the use determination unit 62.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
