To improve an occupant protection performance when an occupant collides with an upper surface of an instrument panel.SOLUTION: An instrument panel support member 10 is a member for supporting an instrument panel standing surface part of an instrument panel, and integrally includes a main body part 13, and left and right recessed parts 14 which dent forward from the main body part 13. The main body part 13 includes upper and lower clip insertion holes 15, 16 which support the instrument panel standing surface part. A recessed part bottom plate part 19 of the recessed part 14 includes a bolt insertion hole 21 which passes through in a front-back direction, and a slit 22 which extends upward continuously from the bolt insertion hole 21. When the instrument panel support member 10 is fixed to a bracket on a vehicle body side, a front surface of the recessed part bottom plate part 19 of the instrument panel support member 10 is abut on a vehicle body side support surface part of the bracket from behind, and a bolt is inserted into the bolt insertion hole 21 of the recessed part bottom plate part 19 from behind and is screwed and fastened with a nut on a bracket side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】インストルメントパネルの上面に乗員が衝突する際の乗員保護性能を向上させる。【解決手段】インパネ支持部材10は、インストルメントパネルのインパネ起立面部を支持する部材であって、本体部13と、本体部13から前方へ凹む左右の凹部14とを一体的に有する。本体部13は、インパネ起立面部を支持する上下のクリップ挿入孔15,16を有する。凹部14の凹部底板部19は、前後方向に貫通するボルト挿通孔21と、ボルト挿通孔21から連続して上方へ延びるスリット22とを有する。インパネ支持部材10を車体側のブラケットに固定する際には、インパネ支持部材10の凹部底板部19の前面をブラケットの車体側支持面部に後方から当接させて、凹部底板部19のボルト挿通孔21に後方からボルトを挿入し、ブラケット側のナットに螺合させて締め付ける。【選択図】図4
