To make the floor surface of a vehicle interior rear section effectively available for a person in a vehicle.SOLUTION: The front end portion of a second side member 7 at the upper side of a rear space is loaded on and joined with the rear end portion of a first side member 6 at the lower side of a front space. A gusset 13 includes a gusset upper surface 20 that extends obliquely upward toward the upper surface of the second side member 7 from the upper surface of the first side member 6, and couples the rear end portion of the first side member 6 and the front end portion of the second side member 7 with each other. A rear seat 21 includes a seat bottom 22 capable of inclining between a stored position to stand upright and a seating position to incline toward the front side of a vehicle, and is placed in a vehicle interior 9 above the gusset 13. The gusset 13 is placed at the rear side of the vehicle relative to a front end position 24 of the seat bottom 22 at the stored position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
