To provide a drive device that can be downsized, and a movable body using the drive device.SOLUTION: A drive device has a motor portion 20 that has a motor shaft 21, and a speed reduction mechanism 30 connected to the motor shaft. The speed reduction mechanism has a sun gear portion 31 disposed on the motor shaft, a planetary gear portion 32 that engages with the sun gear portion and is aligned in a circumferential direction, a carrier 34 that at least partially surrounds the planetary gear portion, and an output portion 35 connected to the planetary gear portion. The carrier has a first cylinder portion 341 that is disposed outside and above the sun gear portion and extends in an axial direction. The first cylinder portion rotatably supports an output portion via a bearing Br, and at least a part of the bearing is disposed on the inner side in a diametrical direction of an outer end in the diametrical direction of the planetary gear portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
