To appropriately perform warning with respect to another vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle periphery warning device 10 includes a detection section 12, a setting section 30C, an activation control section 30G, and a correction section 30E. The detection section 12 detects another vehicle. The setting section 30C sets a warning area on the downstream side of a travel direction of a vehicle 1 according to an angle to be made by the travel direction of the vehicle 1 and the travel direction of the other vehicle. The activation control section 30G activates a warning operation activation section 22 for performing a warning operation when the other vehicle intrudes into the warning area. The correction section 30E corrects the set warning area when detection accuracy of the other vehicle by the detection section 12 is less than the predetermined accuracy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
