To provide a vehicular drive device capable of properly connecting the other output shaft and a third rotation element with a connection/disconnection mechanism, when switching a second traveling mode in which a vehicle is made to travel in a two-wheel drive state by using power outputted from a second power source to a first traveling mode in which the vehicle is made to travel in a four-wheel drive state by using power outputted from at least a first power source.SOLUTION: In a vehicular drive device, a second power source is connected to a first rotation element of a differential mechanism, and the other output shaft of a first output shaft and a second output shaft is connected to a third rotation element so as to connect/disconnect by a connection/disconnection mechanism. A control device brings the connection/disconnection mechanism into a connection state, releases a first engaging element when switching a second traveling mode in which the third rotation element is fixed to a fixing member by the engagement of the first engaging element to a first traveling mode in which the connection/disconnection mechanism is in a connection state, performs synchronization control synchronizing the rotation speed of the other output shaft and the third rotation element by the second power source, and switches the connection/disconnection mechanism from the disconnection state to the connection state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15

    【課題】第2動力源から出力される動力を用いて二輪駆動状態で車両を走行させる第2走行モードから少なくとも第1動力源から出力される動力を用いて四輪駆動状態で車両を走行させる第1走行モードに切り替えるときに、断接機構による他方の出力軸と第3回転要素との接続を適切に行うことができる車両用駆動装置を提供すること。【解決手段】車両用駆動装置は、差動機構の第1回転要素に第2動力源が接続され、第3回転要素に第1出力軸及び第2出力軸の他方の出力軸が断接機構によって断接可能に接続されており、制御装置は、断接機構を切断状態とし、第1係合要素の係合によって第3回転要素を固定部材に固定した第2走行モードから、断接機構を接続状態とした第1走行モードに切り替えるときには、第1係合要素を解放し、第2係合要素により他方の出力軸と第3回転要素との回転速度を同期させる同期制御を行い、断接機構を切断状態から接続状態に切り替える。【選択図】図15
