To provide a railroad crossing alarm sound monitoring device which can detect a railroad crossing alarm sound with good accuracy.SOLUTION: In a railroad crossing alarm sound monitoring device 1, an MPU3 determines whether an acoustic pressure of a sound detected by an acoustic pressure sensor 60 provided near a railroad crossing alarm exceeds a measurement start threshold, and calculates a threshold for detection of a cycle of an alarm sound on the basis of a maximum value and a minimum value of the acoustic pressure detected by the acoustic pressure sensor 60 within prescribed time after determining that the acoustic pressure has exceeded the measurement start threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
