To provide a structural material which is light-weight and can secure rigidity relative to force applied from one side of a flat plate.SOLUTION: A structural material 1 comprises a long side 3 and a long side 4 which are two long sides and two short sides 12 forming a rectangular frame body, a first branch 15 extending in a direction intersecting with the long side 3 and the long side 4 and two short sides 12 in the frame body to connect the long side 3 and the long side 4, and a second branch 11 extending in parallel with two short sides 12 in the frame body to connect the long side 3 and the long side 4. Two first branches 15 are provided so as to form an isosceles trapezoid with the long side 4 as a relatively long bottom side in the frame body, the second branch 11 divides the isosceles trapezoid equally and a hollow part situated outside the isosceles trapezoid among the hollow parts in the frame body is filled with a foam UF.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
