To provide a deformation amount prediction method of a back door capable of performing accurate prediction of deformation amount upon designing.SOLUTION: A deformation amount prediction method derives a prediction value of a deformation amount in a vehicle longitudinal direction on the lower end side of a back door 10 in a state where the back door 10 is attached to a vehicle main body 1 via a stay 11 so as to open and close. The back door 10 includes an outer panel 20 formed so as to swell out toward the vehicle rear side, and an inner panel 30 provided on the cabin side of the outer panel 20. A deformation amount prediction equation to be used in a deformation amount prediction method is constituted including parameters related to a reactive force F which the back door 10 receives from the stay 11 in a close state of the back door 10, a degree of swelling-out in the vehicle longitudinal direction on the lower end side of the outer panel 20 and a thickness in the vehicle longitudinal direction on the lower end side of the inner panel 30. The prediction value of the deformation amount on the lower end side of the back door 10 is derived based on the deformation amount prediction equation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】設計の際に精度の良い変形量の予測が行えるバックドアの変形量予測方法を提供すること。【解決手段】変形量予測方法は、バックドア10を上下開閉が可能なようにステー11を介して車両本体1に取り付けた状態でのバックドア10の下端側における車両前後方向への変形量の予測値を導出する。バックドア10は、車両後方に向けて膨らむように形成されたアウタパネル20と、アウタパネル20の車室側に設けられるインナパネル30とを有している。変形量予測方法に用いられる変形量予測式は、バックドア10の閉状態においてバックドア10がステー11から受ける反力Fと、アウタパネル20の下端側における車両前後方向への膨出度合と、インナパネル30の下端側における車両前後方向への厚みと、に係るパラメータとを含んで構成される。当該変形量予測式に基づいてバックドア10の下端側における変形量の予測値が導出される。【選択図】図1
