To enable a rope diameter of a main rope or the like to be efficiently and accurately measured by eliminating measurement error caused by a measurer.SOLUTION: A rope diameter ultrasonic measurement jig 10 comprises: a jig body 12 in which a first rope groove 14 into which a wire ripe can be fitted is formed on the surface of the jig body 12; a lid body 13 which is attached to the jig body 12 and in which a second rope groove 15 overlapping the first rope groove 14 and holding the wire rope therebetween is formed; an ultrasonic sensor which is assembled in the jig body 12 and detects the diameter of the wire rope held between the first rope groove 14 and the second rope groove 15; and a terminal device 30 which is connected to the jig body 12 and calculates the diameter of the wire rope from a detection signal of the ultrasonic sensor and displays a measured value of the diameter. The contact of the wire rope in contact with the curved surface of the first rope groove 14 and the contact of the wire rope in contact with the curved surface of the second rope groove 15 are located on the circumcircle of the wire rope.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
