To provide a liquefied gas carrier capable of reducing a tank weight without reducing a cargo capacity and capable of suppressing an expansion of a ship width.SOLUTION: A liquefied gas carrier 1 has a loadable capacity of liquefied gas of 50,000 m3 or less as a cargo, and comprises a cargo compartment where the liquefied gas is loaded, and liquefied gas tanks 17 to store the liquefied gas which are cylindrical and independent tanks, one of which is placed in the cargo compartment so that the longitudinal direction faces the ship length direction or multiple cylindrical tanks are arranged in series.
