To provide a method by which a brake shoe is accurately controlled while, after an electric current is interrupted, a motor driven to rotate through inertia is utilized.SOLUTION: A rack rail carrying device comprises a brake body 20 whose state is switched between traveling and braking by a stop brake mechanism 18 installed in a traction vehicle 1, a link 30 for switching the brake body 20, a tilting arm 31 for making the link 30 reciprocate, a rotating cam 32 for rotating by itself and making the tilting arm 31 tilt, a driving arm 34 which is connected to the rotating cam 32 in a radius direction, a gear 36 engaging with an engaging part 35 fixed to a tip of the driving arm 34, a reverse motor 37 for rotating the gear 36, a switching circuit 23 for making the reverse motor 37 rotate in an ordinary direction or in a reverse direction and a positioning mechanism 38 for making the rotating cam 32 rotate and making the engaging part 35 move to an engaging position of the gear 36. The positioning mechanism 38 makes the rotating cam 32 rotated by the reverse motor 37 rotate to a position where the gear 36 engages with the engaging part 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
