To provide a vehicle seat core material hardly causing cracks and chips at a thin wall part.SOLUTION: A vehicle seat core material 100 is formed of a thermoplastic resin foamed particle molding 10 having a substantially rectangular shape in top view, has a thinner thickness than an average thickness of the foamed particle molding, and includes a rearward-side thin wall part with the thickness (t) of 10 to 40 mm. The average molding density (Z) of the foamed particle molding is 20 to 50 kg/m3, a ratio (Y/Z) of the molding density (Y) of the rearward-side thin wall part to the average molding density (Z) of the foamed particle molding is 1.05 to 3, and a fusion rate of the rearward-side thin wall part of the foamed particle molding 10 is 70% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】薄肉部における割れや欠けが生じ難い車両用シート芯材を提供すること。【解決手段】上面視略矩形形状の熱可塑性樹脂発泡粒子成形体10からなり、上記発泡粒子成形体の平均厚みより厚みが薄く、且つ厚み(t)が10〜40mmの後方側薄肉部を有し、上記発泡粒子成形体の平均成形体密度(Z)が20〜50kg/m3であり、上記発泡粒子成形体の平均成形体密度(Z)に対する上記後方側薄肉部の成形体密度(Y)の比(Y/Z)が1.05〜3であると共に、上記発泡粒子成形体10の後方側薄肉部の融着率が70%以上である車両用シート芯材100とした。【選択図】図1
