To provide a closing plate installation member of a jamb, a closing plate installation structure, and a closing plate installation method capable of performing installation work easily in accordance with the engagement with an opening part without requiring any welding and tools by shortening the installation time.SOLUTION: A jamb of an elevator that is installed at an opening part of an elevator landing and has a pair of vertical frames and a lateral frame connected to upper ends of the pair of vertical frames, includes a vertical frame fastening surface fastened to the vertical frames, which is a closing plate installation member for installing a closing plate for closing a gap between the jamb and the opening part, a closing plate locking surface that intersects with the vertical frame fastening surface to lock the closing plate, a locking piece formed on the closing plate locking surface to be locked with a locking hole opened in the closing plate, and a slit formed in a bent portion where the vertical frame fastening surface intersects with the closing plate locking surface and extends in the height direction of the vertical frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
