To ensure the safety of curve traveling by improving an obstacle avoidance capability of an automatic driving vehicle.SOLUTION: A curve traveling control method for an automatic driving vehicle acquires a target curve width to occupy when an automatic driving vehicle travels on a target curve, detects position information of an obstacle on the target curve, and controls a traveling route on the target curve for the automatic driving vehicle on the basis of the occupancy width and the position information of the obstacle. It sufficiently considers that the automatic driving vehicle occupies broader width on a curve than on a straight road, improves obstacle avoidance capability of the automatic driving vehicle to ensure safety in curve traveling by acquiring not the vehicle width of the automatic driving vehicle but target curve width to actually occupy when the automatic driving vehicle travels on the target curve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1a

    【課題】自動運転車両の障害物回避能力を向上させ、カーブ走行の安全性を確保する。【解決手段】自動運転車両が目標カーブを走行する際に占有する前記目標カーブの幅を取得し、前記目標カーブ上の障害物の位置情報を検出し、前記占有幅と前記障害物の位置情報とに基づいて、前記自動運転車両の前記目標カーブにおける走行ルートを制御する。自動運転車両が直線道路よりもカーブ上でより広い幅を占有することを十分に考慮し、自動運転車両の車幅ではなく、自動運転車両が目標カーブを走行する際に実際に占有する目標カーブの幅を取得するにより、自動運転車両の障害物回避能力を向上させ、カーブ走行の安全性を確保する。【選択図】図1a
