PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic traveling control device of a vehicle which accurately calculates a speed when the vehicle inertia-travels, avoids that the vehicle is deviated from a set speed range in an early stage even if the vehicle is made to inertia-travel, and can effectively improve fuel economy by elongating a traveling distance by the inertia-traveling, and an automatic traveling method of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A terminal point speed vat a terminal point Pi in which a vehicle 10 is made to inertial-travel in a short zone lis calculated on the basis of a change of the energy E of the vehicle 10 in the short zone l, or the acceleration a of the vehicle 10 by using weight M, a starting point speed v, a gradient θ, θ, and a horizontal distance Δx, and when the calculated terminal point speed vfalls within a speed range R1, the vehicle 10 is made to inertia-travel in the short zone l.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】車両に惰性走行をさせた場合の速度を精度良く算出し、車両に惰性走行をさせても設定した速度範囲を早々に逸脱することを回避して、惰性走行による走行距離を長くすることで、効果的に燃費を向上できる車両の自動走行制御装置及び車両の自動走行方法を提供する。【解決手段】短区間liを車両10に惰性走行をさせた場合の終点Piにおける終点速度viを、重量M、始点速度vi−1、勾配θi、θi−1、及び水平距離Δxを用いて、短区間liにおける車両10のエネルギーEの変化又は車両10の加速度aに基づいて算出し、算出した終点速度viが速度範囲R1に収まる場合には、短区間liを車両10に惰性走行をさせる制御を行う構成にした。【選択図】図2
