To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine capable of improving purification performance of exhaust gas in a case where an exhaust gas outlet communicating with a plurality of exhaust ports and a catalyst converter arranged near a lower edge of the exhaust gas outlet are connected via a connection pipe part with a curved pipe part.SOLUTION: In a throttle part 18 of a connection pipe part 12, when the throttle part 18 is viewed from a direction of a central axis L of a catalytic converter, a passage cross section of a downstream end 18b has a bottom 20a, and a pair of hypotenuses 20b, 20c extending in a direction intersecting with each other from both sides of the bottom 20a, and formed in a trapezoidal shape where the bottom 20a is arranged closer to an exhaust gas outlet than the hypotenuses 20b, 20c. Also, the passage cross section of an upstream end 18a is formed in a semicircular shape having an arc that bulges outward from the pair of hypotenuses, and a communication part communicating the end parts of the arc to each other, and the arc and the hypotenuses 20b, 20c communicate with each other by curved surfaces 22a, 22b that are convex toward the outside of the throttle part 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】複数の排気ポートと連通する排気ガス出口と、排気ガス出口の下縁の近傍に配置される触媒コンバータとを湾曲管部を有する接続管部を介して接続した場合に、排気ガスの浄化性能を向上できる内燃機関の排気浄化装置を提供する。【解決手段】接続管部12の絞り部18は、絞り部18を触媒コンバータの中心軸Lの方向から見た場合に、下流端18bの通路断面が、底辺20aと底辺20aの両側から互いに交差する方向に延びる一対の斜辺20b、20cとを有し、底辺20aが斜辺20b、20cよりも排気ガス出口の近傍に配置される台形状に形成されている。また、上流端18aの通路断面が、一対の斜辺より外側に膨出する円弧と、円弧の端部を相互に連絡する連絡部とを有する半円状に形成されており、絞り部18の外側に凸となる曲面22a、22bによって円弧と斜辺20b、20cとが連絡されている。【選択図】図6
