To enhance the user-friendliness and merchantability of a moving body and an electric vehicle by establishing the moving body capable of running freely so as to be independent from a vehicle body in the moving body that forms an electric vehicle together with the vehicle body and in the electric vehicle provided with the same.SOLUTION: There are provided a moving body (10) which includes drive wheels (5), a motor (12), a battery (15), a control device (70), an operation unit (75), and a connection unit that can be connected to a vehicle body (9), and which forms the electric vehicle together with the vehicle body (9) by being connected to the vehicle body (9) so as to be freely detachable via the connection unit, and the electric vehicle. The control device (70) drives the motor (12) on the basis of control signals from the vehicle body (9) when the moving body (10) is in connection with the vehicle body (9), and drives the motor (12) on the basis of operation signals from the operation unit (75) when the moving body (10) is not in connection with the vehicle body (9).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
