To provide a luminaire for preventing laser light from being emitted directly to the outside through a projection lens even when defect or breakage occurs in a wavelength conversion member.SOLUTION: An incident angle of laser light BL scanned by a laser light scanning mechanism 4 to a wavelength conversion member 3 is set as an angle which avoids the laser light BL from entering directly into a projection lens 200 when the wavelength conversion member 3 is involved in breakage, defect, or falling trouble. A laser light source 2 and the laser light scanning mechanism 4 are located at positions across the wavelength conversion member 3 and corresponding to at least one of the upper side and the lower side of a light distribution pattern, and arranged while being shifted either to one side corresponding to the left side of the light distribution pattern or to the other side corresponding to the right side of the light distribution pattern.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
