To provide a wind power generation system which enables rotation of a wind turbine to be transmitted to a power generator even if a height of a floating body is lowered from a predetermined height.SOLUTION: A wind power generation system 10 includes: a floating body 11 which has a buoyancy generating body 21 and floats in the sky; a wind turbine 14 which is provided at the floating body 11 and rotated by airflow A in the sky; an output rotor 15 which is provided at the floating body 11 and rotated by rotation of the wind turbine 14; a power generator 13 which is installed at a ground part 5 and generates power by a power generation rotor 12 rotating; a transmission member 16 wound around the output rotor 15 and the power generation rotor 12; and a holding device 17 which keeps the transmission member 16 in a state where rotation of the output rotor 15 is transmitted to the power generation rotor 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
