To provide a falling accident prevention type escalator which can contribute to prevention or the like of detachment and contamination of a joint section of a display sheet provided on a handrail belt surface, extension of the service life of this section, and increased reliability.SOLUTION: A display sheet 6 is stuck to the whole surface of a handrail belt and almost covers its cross-sectional shape, and is divided into a plurality of sheets in a longer direction of the handrail belt, whereas a joint section 66 of the display sheet covers a length L of a range longer than an overlapped portion of a certain length, and comprises a joint material 6C with an adhesive provided so as to cover the cross-sectional shape of the handrail belt, and an acting range of pulling force of the handrail belt in a moving direction, relative to the joint section 66 of the display sheet and the joint material 6C, is set to be a majority of the whole travel path length of the handrail belt, so that a recess K does not come out on a surface of the joint material 6C. The hand rail belt is applied to a constitution in which a foot step moves in an elevating direction, so that the majority of the whole travel path length of the handrail belt falls within a tension side range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】手摺ベルト表面に設けた表示シートの継ぎ目部分の剥がれや汚れ防止等、この部分の長寿命化、高信頼化に寄与できる構成とした転倒事故防止形エスカレーターを提供する。【解決手段】表示シート6は、手摺ベルトの全表面に貼り付けられ、その断面形状をほぼ被い、かつ手摺ベルトの長手方向において複数枚に分割される一方、その継ぎ目部分66は一定長さの重ね分よりも長い範囲の長さLを被い、手摺ベルトの断面形状を被うように設けられた接着剤付き継ぎ目材6Cを設け、かつ表示シートの継ぎ目部分66および継ぎ目材6Cに対して、手摺ベルトの移動方向への引っ張り力が作用する範囲をその走行路全長の過半とすることによって継ぎ目材6Cの表面に凹みKが出ないようにした。手摺ベルトの走行路全長の過半が張り側範囲となるよう、踏段が上昇方向に移動する構成に対して適用する。【選択図】図7
