To provide a less inconvenient newly-constituted brake gear, for example, which can restrain the occurrence of a fastened state of a screw mechanism.SOLUTION: A brake gear of the present disclosure comprises an elastic member. The elastic member is constituted in such an annular shape as to have an inner peripheral part which is accommodated in a bottomed recess of a rotary member, which is extended along a circumferential direction of a male screw and which faces an outer peripheral surface of the male screw, and an outer peripheral part which is extended along the circumferential direction, which faces an inner peripheral surface of a peripheral wall and which is separated from the inner peripheral surface in the state of maximum imperfect alignment in a radial direction with respect to the male screw. The elastic member can be sandwiched between a flange and a direct-acting member in association with the movement of the direct-acting member in a second direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
