To provide a lifting magnet work machine that can appropriately adjust the magnetic force of the lifting magnet according to the work content, while preventing erroneous setting of the work mode due to this operation without requiring complicated mode switching operation.SOLUTION: The working height calculation unit 32 calculates the working height H of the lifting magnet 9 based on the operating angles of the boom 7 and the arm 8. The work content determination unit 33 determines the work content to be done by the lifting magnet 9 based on the work height H and the turning operation pressure P. When a condition 1 in which the work height of H is equal to 2 m or less is satisfied, it is considered as scrap trimming work. When a condition 2 in which the working height H is equal to 2 m or more and turning operation pressure P is equal to 2 MPa or less is satisfied, it is considered as weight adjustment work. For work other than those above, the lifting magnet is excited based on the rated value. In the case of scrap trimming work or weight adjustment work, excitation is done based on a limit value lower than the rated value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】煩雑なモード切換の操作を要することなく、この操作に起因する作業モードの誤設定を未然に防止した上で、リフティングマグネットの磁力を作業内容に対応して適切に調整できるリフティングマグネット作業機を提供する。【解決手段】ブーム7及びアーム8の作動角度に基づき作業高さ算出部32でリフティングマグネット9の作業高さHを算出し、この作業高さHと旋回操作圧Pとに基づき作業内容判定部33でリフティングマグネット9による作業内容を判定する。作業高さH=2m以下の条件1の成立時にはスクラップ浚い作業と見なし、作業高さH=2m以上且つ旋回操作圧P=2MPa以下の条件2の成立時には重量調整作業と見なす。これら以外の作業の場合には定格値に基づきリフティングマグネットを励磁し、スクラップ浚い作業または重量調整作業の場合には、定格値よりも低い制限値に基づき励磁する。【選択図】図3
