To provide a vehicle impact absorption structural member superior in collision performance and preferable in energy absorption efficiency particularly at the time of an offset collision.SOLUTION: An impact absorption member (a vehicle impact absorption structural member) 1 made of an alloy extrusion hollow material formed in an elongated shape includes: a collision wall 10 configuring a collision surface 1A; a non-collision wall 20 configuring a non-collision surface 1B; an upper wall 30 and a lower wall 40 connecting the collision wall 10 and the non-collision wall 20; and an intermediate rib 50. The impact absorption member is attached to a vehicle by stays (attachment members) 2 disposed on the non-collision surface 1B, and the collision wall 10 and the non-collision wall 20 are retracted at a connection portion on the collision wall 10 with the intermediate rib 50 and a connection portion on the non-collision wall 20 with the intermediate rib 50 toward the intermediate rib 50 along a longitudinal direction of the impact absorption member 1 to form a collision wall side recess 11 and a non-collision wall side recess 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
