To provide an occupant protection device capable of certainly shaking off an arm of an occupant by instantly deploying a sub airbag, and suitably performing occupant protection, without largely moving a deployment position of the sub airbag when predicting collision, even if an occupant has a portable terminal and the like.SOLUTION: An occupant protection device 101 includes a main airbag device 50 that protects an occupant P, a sub airbag device 60 that shakes off an arm of the occupant P, a sub airbag moving device 70 that moves a deployment position of the sub airbag device 60, a first seat sensor 41 that detects a position (a seating state of the occupant P) of a seat 10 moved by a seat slide device 20, and a control portion 110 that deploys a main airbag body 52 after deploying a sub airbag body 62 when predicting collision. Since the sub airbag device 60 is moved before collision prediction, the sub airbag body 62 can be instantly deployed when predicting collision, and occupant protection can be suitably performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】乗員が携帯端末等を持っていても、衝突予測時にサブエアバッグの展開位置を大きく動かすことなく、瞬時にサブエアバッグを展開させて乗員の腕を確実に振り払い、適切に乗員保護を行うことができる乗員保護装置を提供する。【解決手段】乗員保護装置101は、乗員Pを保護するメインエアバッグ装置50と、乗員Pの腕を払い落とすサブエアバッグ装置60と、サブエアバッグ装置60の展開位置を移動させるサブエアバッグ可動装置70と、シートスライド装置20に移動された座席シート10の位置(乗員Pの着座状態)を検知する第1シートセンサ41と、衝突予測時にサブエアバッグ袋体62の展開後にメインエアバッグ袋体52を展開させる制御部110と、を備え、衝突予測の前に予め、サブエアバッグ装置60を移動させておくので、衝突予測時に瞬時にサブエアバッグ袋体62を展開でき、適切に乗員保護を行うことができる。【選択図】図3
