PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately protect an occupant in consideration of collision avoidance traveling by automatic operation of a counter vehicle.SOLUTION: An air bag ECU (Electric Control Unit) 10 has a collision possibility determination section 11, a counter vehicle automatic operation function determination section 12, a threshold change control section 15 and an air bag development control section 16. The air bag development control section 16 compares an index indicating impact detected by collision detection sensors 21a-1 to 21c-2 which detect impact when an own vehicle collides with the other vehicle with a threshold, and operates air bags 22a-1 to 22c-2 which protect an occupant of the own vehicle from the impact of the collision with the other vehicle when the index is the threshold or more. The collision possibility determination section 11 detects the other vehicle approaching the vehicle 2. The counter vehicle automatic operation function determination section 12 determines presence/absence of the operation of an automatic operation function in the other vehicle detected by the collision possibility determination section 11. The threshold change control section 15 changes the threshold according to a determination result by the counter vehicle automatic operation function determination section 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】相手車両の自動運転による衝突回避走行を考慮して、乗員保護を適切に行う。【解決手段】エアバッグECU(Electric Control Unit)10は、衝突可能性判定部11、相手車両自動運転機能判定部12、閾値変更制御部15、エアバッグ展開制御部16を有する。エアバッグ展開制御部16は、自車と他車との衝突の際の衝撃を検知する衝突検知センサ21a−1〜21c−2により検知された衝撃を示す指標を閾値と比較し、指標が閾値以上である場合に、他車との衝突の衝撃から自車の乗員を保護するエアバッグ22a−1〜22c−2を作動させる。衝突可能性判定部11は、車両2へ接近する他車を検知する。相手車両自動運転機能判定部12は、衝突可能性判定部11により検知された他車における自動運転機能の動作の有無を判定する。閾値変更制御部15は、相手車両自動運転機能判定部12による判定結果に応じて閾値を変更する。【選択図】図1
