To make it possible to run along an overhead line reliably and stably between support structures.SOLUTION: An overhead line self-propelled machine includes a housing, first and second drive units that are provided with traveling rollers 58 and 59, and take a sandwiching position in which the traveling rollers 58 and 59 sandwich an overhead wire by surface contact and a retracting position in which retraction from the sandwiching position is performed, an urging member that urges the first and second drive units toward the sandwiching position, and a drive part that is driven to rotate each of the traveling rollers 58 and 59. When the first and the second drive units are placed in the sandwiching position, the overhead line is sandwiched by surface contact by the traveling rollers 58 and 59, such that the rollers 58 and 59 do not slip with respect to the overhead line, the overhead line self-propelled machine 32 does not slow down, and the overhead line self-propelled machine 32 does not stop even when the inclination of the overhead line becomes large.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】支持構造物間を確実に、かつ、安定させて架空線に沿って走行させることができるようにする。【解決手段】筐体と、該筐体内において、走行ローラ58、59を備え、該各走行ローラ58、59が架空線を面接触によって挟持する挟持位置、及び該挟持位置から退避した退避位置を採る第1、第2の駆動ユニットと、該第1、第2の駆動ユニットを前記挟持位置に向けて付勢する付勢部材と、駆動されて前記各走行ローラ58、59を回転させる駆動部とを有する。第1、第2の駆動ユニットが挟持位置に置かれると、各走行ローラ58、59によって架空線が面接触によって挟持されるので、架空線の傾きが大きくなっても、架空線に対して走行ローラ58、59が滑ることがなく、架空線自走機32の走行速度が低くなったり、架空線自走機32が停止したりすることがない。【選択図】図1
