To provide a charging system and a storage battery charging method, which can accurately calculate a required charging time.SOLUTION: A charging system 1 includes: a plurality of power supplies 3 which charges a storage battery 2 loaded on a vehicle; a battery capacity measuring unit 44 which measures the capacity of the storage battery 2; and a power monitoring unit 43 which determines whether or not power can be supplied to the storage battery 2 from the plurality of power supplies 3. The charging system 1 further includes a required time calculation unit 45 which calculates a required charging time needed for the capacity of the storage battery 2, measured by the battery capacity measuring unit 44, to be a preset predetermined value, when charging the storage battery 2 by the power supply 3, which is determined to be able to supply power normally by the power monitoring unit 43, among the plurality of power supplies 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
