To provide a charge control device which can provide nearly a full charge in a short time, while suppressing a battery deterioration, and provide a charge control method.SOLUTION: A charge control device according to an embodiment comprises a connector area and a control unit. The connector area includes: a first terminal connected to a terminal of a DC power supply; and a second terminal which can be simultaneously connected to an AC terminal that supplies an AC current to a secondary battery mounted on a vehicle and a DC terminal that supplies a DC current to the secondary battery. The control unit supplies the DC current when a battery capacity of the secondary battery is less than a predetermined switching threshold value, and supplies current obtained by converting the DC curent into the AC current when the battery capacity is the switching threshold value or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】電池劣化を抑えつつ、短時間で満充電付近まで充電することができる充電制御装置および充電制御方法を提供すること。【解決手段】実施形態に係る充電制御装置は、コネクタ部と、制御部とを備える。コネクタ部は、直流電源の端子に接続される第1端子、および、車両に搭載された蓄電池へ交流電流を供給する交流端子および蓄電池へ直流電流を供給する直流端子に同時接続可能な第2端子を有する。制御部は、蓄電池の電池容量が所定の切替閾値未満では直流電流を供給し、切替閾値以上では直流電流を交流電流に変換して供給する。【選択図】図2
