To provide a device, a method, and a program which relate to a technique to detect the face of a driver from a captured image by a camera and which achieve both of maintenance of a face detection performance and prevention of erroneous detection.SOLUTION: A driver determination device 100 of the present invention comprises: an image-capturing unit 110 which captures an image including a driver; a face detection unit 111 which detects a candidate for the face of the driver from the captured image by the image-capturing unit in reference to a preset typical face position of the driver; a reliability calculation unit 113 which calculates reliability of the candidate for the face of the driver detected by the face detection unit on the basis of the typical face position; a face determination unit which determines whether the candidate for the face of the driver detected by the face detection unit is the face of the driver according to the reliability calculated by the reliability calculation unit; a face tracking unit which tracks, as the face to be subjected to processing, the face of the candidate when the face determination unit determines that the candidate is the face of the driver; and a face change unit 115 which changes the face to be subjected to the processing in reference to the calculated reliability.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】カメラの撮像画像から運転者の顔を検出する技術に関し、顔検出性能の維持と、誤検出の防止との両立を図る装置・方法・プログラムを提供する。【解決手段】本発明の運転者判定装置100は、運転者を含む画像を撮像する撮像部110と、予め設定された運転者の典型的な顔位置を参照して、前記撮像部の撮像画像から、運転者の顔の候補を検出する顔検出部111と、前記顔検出部が検出した運転者の顔の候補の信頼度を前記典型的な顔位置に基づいて算出する信頼度算出部113と、前記信頼度算出部が算出した信頼度に応じて、前記顔検出部が検出した運転者の顔の候補が、運転者の顔であるかを判定する顔判定部と、前記顔判定部が運転者の顔であると判定した顔を処理対象の顔として追跡する顔追跡部と、前記算出した信頼度を参照して、処理対象の顔を切り替える顔切り替え部115とを有する。【選択図】図1
