To provide an outboard engine which enables reduction of a driving loss in a cooling pump, and to provide a ship.SOLUTION: An outboard engine 100 includes: an engine 1; a sea water passage 3 which cools a first cooling object including the engine 1 and through which sea water at the outside of an outboard engine body 100a passes; a first pump 31 which pumps sea water from the outside of the outboard engine body 100a to flow the sea water into the sea water passage 3; a coolant liquid passage 4 through which a coolant liquid, which cools a second cooling object different from the first cooling object and is different from the sea water, passes; and a second pump 41 which causes the coolant liquid to flow through the coolant liquid passage 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
